i just created a redguard mercanery and want to do the civl war wich side should i join suggestion ?

i was thinking of joining the imperial but said to myself why not ask people for other opinion

Since many Redguards feel that they were betrayed by the empire during the great war, and if I remember correct, are independent, then it would make sense if you helped Stormcloaks. (Unless you want your char to do something very different)

Depends if your roleplaying as a Hammerfell native or as a cyrod redguard.

Hammerfell native should be on Stormcloak since they feel betrayed by the empire and went independent after White Gold sold out much of their land to the Thalmor, plus the Hammerfell believe that the treaty wasn't neccessary (some support there considering by themselves they drove the Thalmor into relinquishing what the empire gave them).

Cyrod and other imperial or thalmor controled province Redguard you could still justify imperial since Redguards (before White Gold atleast) had a long standing tradition of being part of the legion.

I would imagine that besides a Nord, the most likely type of character to join the Stormcloaks would actually be a Redguard, due to the Empire abandoning Hammerfell to the Thalmor not only by the passive act of surrendering, but also by actively signing over all Imperial claims to Northern Hammerfell as well, thus leaving all of Hammerfell vulnerable to the Thalmor. If I was playing a Redguard, and I decided not to remain neutral, I would almost always have them join the Stormcloaks. Most other types of characters I could see going either way, with only Imperials or Bretons being pretty much sure bets to join the Imperials (although I could see Argonians, Orcs, and Hlaalu-aligned Dark Elves leaning more towards the Imperials than the Stormcloaks).
