1> Open your console while looking at your followers body
2> Type in "resurrect"
3> Then click your follower body a few times and make sure it says an id on screen for beeng sure
4 > Your follower will appear in the position he died when close the console.
NOTE:
#> Resurrecting will reset the character inventory , make sure you did not have value items on him before resurrecting
#> Resurrecting will reset him as well so if he gets stuck or has a bug , just resurrect him while he's alive
#> As i remember , resurrecting will make him leave your service so you will have to ask him to follow you again.

You have a much better chance of your companions surviving a fight, or you accidently killing them if you put some healing potions in their inventory, for them to use.
I think the two possible spells are convalescence and greater convalescence. Then, an heal class mage can sell thoses spell.
