Aetherium Forge Bug

I am at the forge and have the required items to craft 1 of the three items, but no matter which 1 I make the mission will not compleat. It still says to forge something. Untill you make it, and the ghost says she is free, the stairs will not rise allowing exit. Ergo I am trapped there. Seems STEAM only has as many saves as will display on the Load /Save window all previouse saves I can not access SO there I sit, and sweat.

I have read the Wiki guide for that quest, and have followed it correctly. But the act of forging the item does not trigger the end of quest sequence.

Any help will be appreciated.

If you want to go to an earlier save you can delete some of the saves on display. Bottom left hand corner X. But normally you should be able to scroll down through all of your saves.

Not really an option for those of us that started the main quest, did other things and then came back to this one. No matter what I try, I can't complete the quest.

I had the same issue. Unfortunately if you don't have a recent Save prior to Opening the Entrance to the forge [The placement of the key at the surface. Save befor you open that..] you will need to start a new game. Or just forget about the forge quest. I got physically stuck down there because compleation raises the stairs our. Didn't compleat I was trapped.

Here is what I did to compleat it:: [For me I had to start a new game I forgot to save.]

When you 1st enter the forge area , and you need to turn the valves. Do the left side 1st. Then move to the right , and turn that 1. [Did you remember to save this time ?] There will be a lenghtly battle between you and the Dwemer bots. But once you kill the last big 1 you should be safe..

The 1st time I did that I turned the valves more than once and that messed up the sequence. Even if you hear , or read to turn them again , Ignore it.. Once each is all you need.

This worked for me I hope it is repeatable..

Woah, settle down. I agree with your point, but yeesh.

As far as I know, the only way to progress is with console commands. But despite me entering the correct quest and stage code, nothing is happening. But in case it works for you, open the console (with the tilde key: ~), enter the following, and then hit enter. Then you can close the console.

setstage DLC1LD 225

This should "complete" the quest for you, as the only objective left is the last one. Make sure you have already smithed the item you want, as you may not be able to afterwards. If not, you can try resetting the quest with the code below, and then trying again with the code above:

resetquest DLC1LD

I found a working fix (for me at least). After I smithed my chosen item (the crown in my case), I entered this code in the console, and then Katria talked to me before disappearing (like she's meant to), progressing and completing the mission:

setstage DLC1LD_Bthalft 90
