You however, are the Dragon Born, and you are able to make yourself an exception and enter by way of a speech check...
Though as you wander around all the holds of Skyrim, you will notice that they have even added encounter-dialogue as the guards pass, they refer to you based on your race; Khajiit comments are not meant to be friendly for a reason!....evidence of some nice subtleties in the Lore of the Khajiit race/treatment in Skyrim...
If you enjoy RPGs, as in role-playing games, then you know that the lore is the law.
Divines help me, but I'll use Morrowind as an example; even if you are Hortator of all the Great Houses, recognized as Nerevarine by the Ashlanders, proven to be the Incarnate, Nerevar reborn by holding the Moon-and-Star and saving all of Morrowind, the Cammona Tong will not allow you to join because you're an Outlander. Doesn't matter if you're Dunmer, if you're the reincarnation of a Chimer hero; you're still a dirty n'wah and they want nothing to do with you because you were not born in Morrowind.
They should have stuck to having consequences for choosing what race to play. it also would of increased the re-playability factor.
Hmm, yeah Khajiit originate from Elsweyr..but my Khajiit was Born in Skyrim, so effectively he can follow the ways of the Nord if he wants. He has thicker fur, he has a big build, he can Shout!....Doesn't seem very Lore breaking for me...
It depends if you want to let your imagination liberate yourself from the strict codex of it, or if you want to interpret more fluctuation without actually breaking the Lore....Get creative and see where your Character will take you!....Hopefully it will be warmer sands....
and i do use my imagination, hence why i have played 600H. but they were lazy in race creation and interaction.
