Logitech G13 not working any more?
Hey there,

After not playing for a while, I finally dug out Skyrim again a week or so ago.
I use a Logitech G13 keypad to play, which always worked just fine in the past.
Since the latest patch, however, it somehow doesn't seem to work with Skyrim any more, which irks me quite a lot because I have very limited desk space, and using my keyboard to play is a cramped affair to say the least.
Has anybody else encountered a similar problem?
Oh, and I just noticed, the macros don't work while writing this thread, either (they do work in my browser, I'm writing this via the steam app itself), so could it possibly be a steam thing?
If so, does anybody have a solution?

Oh, and just in case it's significant, I am using quite a few mods (none of which modify the controls in any way) and the latest version of SKSE.

Does it work fine with other games? Do other keyboards work with Skyrim? Narrow down if the problem is with the game or the device, then you'll be able to fix it.

Oh, yeah. Forgot to mention that.
Yes, it works perfectly well with other games. Non-Steam, that is. Since I transferred my installation of Tribes: Ascend from standalone to steam, I can't use it there, either, now that I'm thinking about it.
Other keyboards and game controllers (including joysticks and the Xbox 360 pad) are also working fine, but the macro keys on my Logitech G15 also do not work.
My guess is that it's either a Steam issue or a firmware issue. Or maybe both? o.O

Yeah, sounds about right. Do some reseach on google regarding the G15 and steam and see if others are having the same issues. you may find your answer there. Updating/reinstalling your drivers and restarting may also help. Windows updates also seem to have the wierdest effects on random things, make sure you have none pending.

Interesting ... seems like Steam somehow interferes with the Key Profiler when it#s already running and you start up a game ... found a workaround that works by shutting down the Profiler, starting the game and then firing up the profiler again.
Still, it's messy and I don't like it ... since it hasn't been this way before, I hope they'll fix it. Can't imagine that it's intentional (if it is, I'll start a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ... *huehue*).

Yeah, I found out that running MSI Afterburner's frame-rate counter also just makes the game crash. So now I just use fraps. Send a message to Steam, maybe you can get them to fix it.

I am using a G19 for Steam games mostly, and it is working normally, using the same LGS as G15 and G13 (V8.46.27). The most likely reason could be the not-too-recent update to Steam that allows installation of games into other places of your computer; so you might need to search for the tesv.exe and update the profile to activate when the .exe is executed.
