Lydia is glitched like an idiot

Hello people,

as Skyrim is a bethesda bug fest, we can live with it. But lately Lydia seems to not give a ♥♥♥♥, the first time I dismissed her she disappeared, she wasn't dead nor was she in dragonsreach. when I bought breezehome just in case, she appeared in her room out of nowhere. When I told her to follow me she agreed and I left breezehome thinking she was following me. When I looked behind me, she was nowhere to be seen! I went back inside, and guess what, she was trying to walk through the wall to reach me. She is now also enjoying just standing in the same spot when you tell her to stop following you and when she leaves her service. I left her for a week in whiterun in the same spot and she hasn't moved an inch.

I use UFO with heartfire and dawnguard patch. I also use Dova's angels which changes Lydia's looks and class (also with UFO tweak patch). I tried Move it damn it! also with the UFO tweak but it didn't work.

I also got her out of the house with prid 000A2C94, moveto player and that's also when I noticed she refused to go home and could enter any building dungeon except our house. I tried uninstalling all UFO and follower NPC related mods but to no avail.

Should I just give up on her and find someone new, or does someone know a proper fix?

All suggestions are welcome and much appreciated.

I have never had that problem. When I dismiss her she eats bread all the time I hate to get my bill from the bakery. Try taking off the Mods and see if that works. I only use the skimpy armor mod on her and she looks pretty good to me. And many of the bugs in Skyrim are not bugs but mods clashing. I have a set of about 40 mods don't need any more and the game seems to be bug free.

I did uninstall all the follower/NPC related mods/tweaks/patches, but it didn't help at all. I also waited for 24 hours in game as that seems to help with refreshing.

I have played almost 1300 hours and never had that problem. Did download a mod from Nexus one time and she was suddenly a redhead and naked got rid of that one in a hurry after a good look at her.

Well it's fair to say that I didn';t have this problem when I had pirated the game(sorry :D). It's a fairly weird issue, but I think I can live with it.

lol just dont care about Lydia, if you want help in fight use Call of Valor shout or Summon Spectral Assassin power (stays with you permanently and if he dies, just resummon next day) ...

I have heartfire, and this DLC doesn't let me enter breezehome because the navmesh is different. So I downloaded a small fix which overwrites it's navmesh to fix the damn CTDs. And this glitch started before I found out I couldn't enter Breezehome and Lydia already was in Breezehome before I purchased it. I believe I mentioned this before in the OP, and if I didn't I apologise. The first time she got dismissed it was because of Aela when I became a werewolf, after that she never went to dragonsreach, it appears she was already screwing around in my soon to be purchased house.

Uploaded mods to make her look better now she has black face, white body and sexy russian armour. Removed all enchancing mods but still the same (got to restart game to fix). She disappears all the time runs off and fights an opponent (man or beast). I just carry on fast travel to where I want to be, with drawn sword enter cave or like she there behind me drawing her sword out (noise tells me that). She always catches up.

@kelvy, what does that have to do with anything.

OT: I found another thing out about Lydia, she can't open breezehome. Whenever I tell her to do something like Open breezehome she responds with "Can't do that, sorry.". What can this mean?

Just saying you might have to restart game when you removed or rearrange mod order. As for entering breezehome, have you key when you buy house from steward. Its sound like that you haven't completed it correctly, when you come a thane Lydia is waiting by door as you leave Dragon Reach. You kill the dragon at western watch tower and then you can buy house. Maybe leave Whiterun and go do something and come back(fast travel somewhere). If still happening restart game before you buy house. Best of luck!!

The one off nexus where she has red hair and no clothes was the funniest lydia I have seen.

I am a big Lydia fan also.

You can always use the phrase it is time for us to part ways she will stay at Breezehome that might solve your problem.

Try taking Dova's angels off and see if that gets her in fighting shape.

To fran25 I had some women (spouses) with heads, hands and feet and no body. The modder changed one person style but it was a standard style used by Beth in game and when going to other places it came a disease in Skyrim. Cure - remove mod and restart.
