Report a translation problem
I'm not sure but I think there may be a mod in Workshop that helps specifically with display cases, so take a look. Never use them myself.
I was kind of thinking I had a bug due to HD textures, because for dagger cases in Markath (I think) you have an option to activate the case to put the dagger inside, and I didn't have that on the bigger ones. But meh, didn't bother.
I used cases in Oblivion and they worked ok. I had to lock them (with console) though to keep things in place. Otherwise, the stuff just kept falling out.
How well do the wall mounts work?
