From my experience you can change the count all the back to one, but it requires deleting all your saves, stopping/restarting Skyrim and starting a new game.

I know, not what you wanted to hear, but I have not found a way other than that.

If anyone knows a better way that keeps game saves I'm willing to try. :)

Hmmm. Auto save occurs if you enter or leave a building. Make a manual save, enter leave one building 3 times or 3 bulidings will make 6 autosaves but only last 3 show up, plus your manual save. Are you thinking that the game will progress faster without the saves. Most of the time is taken up by loading the new environment (read building). Or is there some other reason you want to save only 1?

Nope its just i dont want them everytime between my normal save, and i dont save that often between every single step hopefulle nobody does that. Its not a big deal they disturb me and i dont want them and at least i dont need them. Im not that toby guy on youtube with his lost lydia crying show what doesnt have normal saves between 60 hours of gameplay. One autosave on traveling would be enough, btw if that dont work can i disable that completely ? when i disable all options does it disable the auto save at all ?

Well like I said, only lasdt 3 are saved, as a new one is generated ols 3rd one deleted.If you only save at end of game for the night, and had played for 15 nights you would have the first auto save at Helgren, 15 manual saves and 3 auto saves. You can turn off the other auto saves for save on wait, save on travel, save on rest, within the game in your Settings options. Personally I save a bit more than that, but thats everyones option as they want to play.

It sucks that this is the best result in google search for "skyrim autosave count", so at least it should have right information...

You CAN change autosave count by changing your Skyrim.ini file

[SaveGame]
iAutoSaveCount=X

... where X is the number of autosaves.
