Matching Set / Ebony Armor - fixed ?
Is this issue fixed with the actual game vanilla version ? when not can anybody tell me what mod should i use that really work and dont ruin the game or is to difficult to implement that it can destroy save files or anything. I read about mods on nexus mods for only that issue and unofficial patches that fixes many bugs. I only want to have a fix for this issue only for matching set perk and other perks that maybe dont work right. I dont want this unoffical patch, it reads nice but it is much content of fixes so it can cause much issues.

Thanks

All things considered, the unofficial patches are probably the safest mods you could possibly use. There aren't going to be many mods that have been so thoroughly tested, and as far as I know they don't embed themselves in your save file; they can be removed at will if you like.

Just have to be loaded in the correct order, as with any mod.

Are you sure this unoffical patches are ok ? i read many things aout issues of this mod causing game crashes, broken stuff like textures and else. I really want only that fix for this perk or similar, is there a complete changelog of these mods ? I had no really other bugs with skyrim except some quest bugs what i can trick out if i dont grab an item to early or so, nothing.

But do you if the matching set perk is fixed in the actual game version ?

Btw steel amor is even broken in vanilla without perks i think, i get only 117 amor points instead of 118 caused from gloves or boots.

EDIT: Ok found the changelog, and there is the reason why i dont want this, this fixes cause on the other side different bugs because of the fixing. So i need still to know if the matching set perk is fixed or not and if not a save mod for it.

i never play skyrim without the unoffical patches. which DLC's are you playing with, tell me and i will tell you which patches to use and where to place them in your load order

I have all excpet for Dragonborn but ill buy it next week, but im still in the normal game and like i said the only thing what is important for me is that matching set perk and ebony amor bug, maybe it is fixed dont know. Sure the unoffical patches are nice but like i said befor on the otherside it cause other bugs. The gameplay/quest bugs that skyrim still has can be tricked out in different ways. Surely 50% of the fixes from USKP are caused from this patch and thats really bad, yes i read the changelog and most issues i never had.

The only important thing for me is that matching set perk and why the steel amor gets one point less amor caused from gloves or boots.

Ok i found it on my own it is fixed in 1.9 vanilla skyrim so fine only that one amor point less on steel amor and maybe others still remains grrrr

•The Matching Set perks (both Light and Heavy variants) will now apply properly to Ebony, Imperial Light, Guild Master's and Linwe's armors which had been overlooked. [Official Patch 1.9]

For what it's worth, for future consideration, like Trigger my current save has had the unofficial patches running full time and they have never given me any trouble. I only run those and some graphical mods (a couple of which do have a removal procedure) and last time I was playing at least, it ran like a dream. That's will all the add ons except for the latest from the HD pack (that unofficial did not exist then either).

Yeah but thats the same as you dont use the unofficial patches, there are issues that you dont recognize because issues in quests and else dont trigger everytime and not for everyone. As example on my last playthrough on 1.7 i had no issue except that matching set perk and ebony amor and the dragon skelleton dont dissapear glitch and thats all.

If you read the complete changelog for the unofficial patch for skyrim, at least the half of this fixes are fixes for bugs that are caused from this unofficial patch and in my opinion thats not worth it. Who knows how much bugs are left from this patch, yes they get updates and in one year or so its surely a good thing if they do still work on it.

On the otherside they added many things in there patches that i dont want in my game like dialogs, texts, graphics and many more. If you want and use mods its ok but i want the game like its meant to be played no mods at all. And another main reason atm what i see it is only supported for english, all the added stuff and fixed stuff what was wrong what uses language in any form is then english and i need it in german.

If they reach there goal to fix all bugs with german language overall i surely use it too but for now its a no go.
