Amulet of Talos- Greta Bug

I have continually tried both restting this quest, as well as using console commands. Neither take this quest off my log. Is there a way to complete this quest, or is it bugged to oblivion?

I even tried to kill Greta, and resurrect her, and that didn't work.

Any suggestions?

How much of the quest did you actually manage to do? This quest can be bugged if you looted Roggvir's body before you get the quest. It can also have trouble if there are other amulets of Talos in your inventory when you get the quest. They can all wind up tagged as stolen and/or quest items. If that is part of your issue you can maybe get the stolen amulets out of your inventory by punching a guard in the face and getting your stolen stuff removed. If the only problem you have is that the quest is still in your journal despite being completed, you may just have to live with it.

I looted his body before I started the quest. Looks like I am stuck until the script is fixed, and the console command can actually work.

Is the Amulet of Talos still stuck in your inventory as a quest item that you can't remove? If so, you have to find Greta's child (girl, can't remember her name but she's in Solitude and there aren't too many children there so you should be able to find her pretty easily). Speak with her and that will start the quest. Go back to Greta. She will be glad that you found the amulet and she thanks you. Unfortunately, you don't get the reward and the quest is not removed from the log but you can now remove the amulet from your inventory as it is no longer stuck.

Hah yea, I learned the hard way not to steal from corpses like that. I wish that damn amulet was renamed "Talos Amulet of a quest!".:p

I just came across this 'bug'. This sort of thing annoys me. I mean, how fecking difficult is it to test? See the guy get executed, people move off, check him, hey presto a handy amulet. Bethesda's QA is no better than Bioware's...

SIMPLE RESOLUTION : find "Amulet of Talos" ID, console type: player.drop "id of the damm amulet" "quanty"(drop all of them). Do it before talk to Greta, so you wil be able to pick up the Roggvir amulet from the ground when she asks you for take it from the body.
