Conjure Ash Guardian Staff

After doing the quest Through the Ashes I believe Talvas is supposed to offer either the Spell Tome: Conjure Ash Guardian or the Staff of Conjure Ash Guardian... however, whenever I choose the staff it gives me a staff with some random enchantment and not Conjure Ash Guardian. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am lookin gto get the staff only because I am aware you can buy the tome from him later. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He either give you a random staff or the conjure ash guardian spell... Read carefully next time...
