Can't absorb Mirmulnir's soul HELP PLEASE
I tried loading an earlier save, tried resurrecting him a few times but nothing seems to fix it.
I need to get his soul to progress the main quest :\ does anybody know how to fix this?

I tried disabling all my mods but that didn't do a thing
I also installed that dragon merchant mod since alot of people said it fixes it but it did nothing for me

Please help

You don't have to disable the Unofficial Skyrim patches, really. Just move them on top of your load order. Worked for me. :D

And i'm using BOSS and Wrye Bash too to help me with the load order etc.

Well if you want to make that small group, just help with the BOSS or TES5edit. They already have the conflicts and bugs listed. I think most helpful would be to email the mod makers informing them of the issue. A lot of them seem to submit mods that conflict even with the base game.

As for the OP, I had this exact bug when I installed More Dragons! mod and Diversified Dragons. It went away when I removed the two. And good too because while Diversified looked awesome, personally I soon found out that more dragon mods are a bad idea. Dragon attacks get extremelly annoying, and when you fight a lot of them in the wild it just loses the fun of actually finding one.

I don't play Skyrim anymore so I can't test and guarantee this will work;

Digging around in the wiki I found two commands that can help

First
do the setstage thing to get the quest done and then open your console where you have two choices;

Either do the learn shout command from the console:

player.unlockword 13E22 (I'm pretty sure it's unlockword to learn it but if it doesn't work put this in: player.teachword 13E22).

Or you can use the console to give yourself a dragonsoul and unlock Fus manually

player.forceav dragonsouls 1 (this will set your dragon souls amount to 1, not add one! so don't get confused incase you want to use it again later for some reason)

Also sorry for responding late I wasn't online for a while

This is the correct answer. It is a load order issue. If you will use LOOT, it will take care of it for you.

For a start unofficial skyrim patch fixed that issue. Then Bethesuda release Dragonborn DLC after the patch was out in the mod market and the issue returned. The dragonborn unofficial patch was made and undated to fix the issue.
Look at other mods that involves dragons, the issue is with those.
Also use LOOT version 6, BOSS version 3 is now outdated

So I should get the Unofficial Dragonborn Patch to fix this?

Hello, i had the same problem and here is how i fixed it.
In the launcher menu click on data files, then uncheck the unofficial skyrim patch, click ok, start the game, kill mirmulnir and absorb his soul, and at the next game launch activate the patch again. :steamhappy:
