Forcing the Dragonborn main quest
I've played through most of the Dragonborn DLC and while it's pretty solid, I still haven't done the Main Quest because my character is not a Dragonborn. I don't use shouts and that's not the type of character I want to play right now, but I would like to play the main quest. However in order for the main quest of Dragonborn to activate you need to be about 6 or 7 quests into the main questline of Skyrim. Does anyone know exactly what I need to do to force the quest to begin through the console? Quest ID is DLC2MQ01

Dont break your game do the mainquest... Til you entitle to Dragonborn then 2 cultist will ask you if your Dragonborn you say whatever you want then Dragonborn questline will open...
Again, I don't want to be a Dragonborn. I'm not roleplaying as one right now but I don't want to make a new character and go through Skyrim's main quest again just for one quest in Dragonborn. I know how the quest is activated, I just want to start it through the console. It's not breaking the game at all, I'm simply trying to activate the quest.

And beside you will need the Bend Will shout to progress the questline...
Face your destiny as Dragonborn...

You won't be able to do most of the questline without shouts. You need bend will and dragon aspect.

Well Bend Will yes Dragon Aspect is optional as you can only use it once a day...

I did the entire Dawnguard main quest without killing the first dragon and learning FUS. Sadly the Dragonborn DLC requires Dragonborn powers, and to clear it you need to be a dragonborn. Embrace your destiny, mod your game, or give it up.

For the third time, I don't care about dragonshouts. I can unlock them through the console. "My destiny" can suck my ♥♥♥♥, all I want to know is how to activate the quest through the console because I don't want to do the Skyrim quests. The page on UESP is vague so that's why I came here.

You need to pursue the Skyrim's main quest. Once you do this you can pursue the Dragonborn main quest. Do not force the quest, as it COULD break other quest scripts.

However, you may want to sit down and talk to your second personality; as you said you do not want to be/play as a dragonborn, but at the same time you want to play a quest that is entirely focused around you being THE CHOSEN DRAGONBORN. A complete contradiction.

Whether you want to be a dragonborn is irrelevent, incase you didn't realize you already are a dragonborn. Just play the game properly and stop asking us how to do something that only you would find useful.

After that last reply it seems this devolved into trollface.jpg territory.

You are not only going to need to force the quest to begin, but then you'll need to force every quest involved with the Bend Will shout. You will need to either teleport to the final boss, or bring the final boss to you because he's on an island, and you need to take control of dragons and ride them to him.

Look up the console code to add a quest to your character. Use the code on the quest ID. Like others said, it may break your game. It's either a broken game or doing as they say. Roll.

you must fulfill your destiny, you are Dragonborn no way around it.

YOU ARE NOT THE DRAGONBORN MOD: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9048/?
Immediate Dragons mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9621/?

First mod will disable everything mainquesy: You will not read wordwalls, you will not absorb dragon souls, main quest events won't happen. The main quest only dragon priest will show up somewhere else you can collect the set.

The second will enable random dragon encounters for you to kill, so you can get the 'dragons are attacking and you can kill them, get bones and stuff but not absorb their soul' experience.

This makes a lot of sense.... You want to play a DLC that is all about being Dragonborn but don't want to be Dragonborn.

That's just...... Just..... Dumb.... What???

I'm not saying you're dumb or any personal insult of the sort, but the idea is.

If you just want to wander the new land and do your own thing, why don't you just do enough of the original DB quest to get it unlocked and use your "Imagination" that it never happened??

You can enable travel to the island, but you won't be able to complete the main quest because it requires a shout to control dragons. Still, there's a lot to do even without being the dragonborn.
