Steam cloud snyc not working (Fixed).
Hey guys,

For about a week now, i noticed that steam cloud is not syncronising my saved games. I am manually backing up my profile (it is my second character), but wondering if anyone has similar issues.

not me, but yes, more people have problem with the steam clown, sometime they lost her savegame, so the better, if you use only one computer, it's to make a save on your hard disk...

I have my sync turned off, to many time i turn on my pc and it tells me the pc and cloud dont match and i wasnt going to risk steam overwriting my saves with an older set

I went to steam over this on another game and guess what....they told me to turn it off! So cloud is off on Skyrim too and not having any types of problems in that area.

Ok guys i got it working.

This is how:

- Disbale steam cloud save on Skyrim
- Shut down steam
- Open steam, settings and turn off cloud sync for all games
- Shut down steam
- Open steam, enable steam cloud sync for all games
- Enable steam cloud sync for Skyrim
- An error will be displayed, a sync conflict, choose "upload saved game from my computer"
- Done

I'm now encountering this problem, but Zombie_Head's solution, alas, did not work for me. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Z_H, I wish I knew, and, I'm not sure I was right. It appeared to sync - I saw data transferring - but it still displays the message indicating a sync is required.

Other symptoms I noted: some of my preferences were reset: Invert Y and Look speed.

If I figure it out, I'll update.

My steam cloud deleted all my progress for a game well at least i think it was steam cloud because no one besides me can go into my PC let alone find out how to get to my steam account. Because they will have to find my password then get my phone then have to figure out my pin. But if you know how to fix this please add me. :sticky::steamhappy::sticky:

What worked for me:

I disabled sync on my desktop computer, and then I went on my laptop where the most recent files were and started the game, loaded into a save and just save again, and exit the game. That way (since cloud sync was enabled) I saw that my laptop synced the new save with the cloud. I went back on my desktop and re-enabled sync for Skyrim: special edition. Then I exited out of steam and logged into it again. When I exited it said "finishing sync" or something, and when I logged in again the saves were synced. Don't know if I had to do all of that, but that's what worked for me.
