Mad, i an considering switching off the steam cloud till it get's working.
This is how:
- Disbale steam cloud save on Skyrim
- Shut down steam
- Open steam, settings and turn off cloud sync for all games
- Shut down steam
- Open steam, enable steam cloud sync for all games
- Enable steam cloud sync for Skyrim
- An error will be displayed, a sync conflict, choose "upload saved game from my computer"
- Done
Please explain how, incase anyone else come across this post.
Other symptoms I noted: some of my preferences were reset: Invert Y and Look speed.
If I figure it out, I'll update.
I disabled sync on my desktop computer, and then I went on my laptop where the most recent files were and started the game, loaded into a save and just save again, and exit the game. That way (since cloud sync was enabled) I saw that my laptop synced the new save with the cloud. I went back on my desktop and re-enabled sync for Skyrim: special edition. Then I exited out of steam and logged into it again. When I exited it said "finishing sync" or something, and when I logged in again the saves were synced. Don't know if I had to do all of that, but that's what worked for me.
This worked for me. Same situation with a laptop
How do I do this?
