Castle Volkihar's bug

I can't come in! I've started the bloodline quest and i'm with serena, but i can't go inside!

I didn't bother trying to enter Volkihar Keep until it was time to confront Lord Harkon, so I can't comment. But here's a snippet from UESP (Skyrim:Volkihar Keep) that might help explain why:

Though you can travel to the island immediately upon installing the Dawnguard plug-in, the keep is initially inaccessible. You must work with the Dawnguard vampire hunters for a short time in order to gain entry, even if you wish to side with the Volkihar vampire clan during the plug-in's main questline.

Have you approached the watchman? He will raise the potcullis and allow you into Volkihar after he realizes who Serana is.

I saw a youtube's video...when we arrive near the castle's entrance, serana must tell me something about the fact we've arrived, but she doesn't say nothing and the quest doesn't go on! I don't now what can i do...

try looking on the internet ,go into the console command menu and either click on serana or the watchman and use the console command that you have found on them,hope this helps (:

Try the command "activate" on them (with out quotation marks)

I did what you did RougeKing up until thhe point where I teleport into the castle. I'm supposed to type movetoplayer but if I do Serana does'nt join me

type "player.placeatme SeranaID" it will put Serana at your side. however it did not reactivate the quest for me so far. She just stands there and does nothing. But maybe i have left out something you did. ;-)

Walk up the path with Serana, do not run. You need her to start a conversation with you, it is this conversation that triggers the quest to move along by opening the gate, let Serana go through the door first.

I've had the same problem wintergeist and attempted numerous console commands on the watchman, serana, and the door. No luck yet. Clicking on the castle door just makes a clicking sound like it's an inactive object.

And you wonder why you cannot complete it. Any chance that you had of normally being able to do this, has now been destroyed.

try this
1. While at the gate guard, type "getstage dlc1vq02" to verify that you are in stage "6.0"
2. Then, type "setstage dlc1vq02 8" and close the console.
3. Serana should head toward the door and try to open it (and fail)
4. Open the console and select Serana. Make sure you select her and not some of the background!
5. Type "coc dlc1vampirecastleguildhall" to teleport into the castle.
6. With Serana still selected (teleporting doesn't deselect her), type "moveto player" to move her into the castle.
7. Serana should immediately start moving through the room. If she does, check "getstage dlc1vq02" - the stage should now be "10.0" if everything worked right
