"Speak to the Jarl of Falkreath" bug

I have a miscellaneous quest "Speak to the Jarl of Falkreath". I got this quest at the very beginning of the game from the letter from the courier but I only decided to do it when the Falkreath Jarl had already switched to Dungeir from Siddgeir.
Is there any console command to remove this quest as I can't complete it with Dungeir and Siddgeir won't talk to you in the Solitude dungeon.

I figure out... try setstage BYOHHouseFalkreath 100

At Lakeview manor, the courrier could give you another letter. You need to build your house. Go in your house. After that when you don't have any task pending, you could do "completequest BYOHHouseFalkreath". This will remove "Speak to the Jarl of Falkreath" misc quest.

I've also just run into this problem. I've tried these console commands, none of which have fixed it. If anyone knows of a solution please say so!

I've actually restarted games for bugs like these... It's so annoying to have that unresolvable quest in your list. Like an itch on the back where you can't reach...

I have this exact same issue. Is there any way toi complete this without using the console?

I tihnk the console is the only way to fix this issue. I got the quest to talk to the Falkreath Jarl before the Jarl changed because of the civil war, I tihnk that's why my one messed up.

The problem with mine is, Dengeir was already the Jarl of Falkreath when I forst got the letter. The letter was from him, not Siddgur. But when I went to speak to him about becoming Thane, the wqquest should of completed.

What about deactivating the .esm and saving, than reactivating?

Without Skyrim.esm or Update.esm active, the game would'nt even start.

I mean only the Hearthfire.esp than. Wouldn't that reset the entire questline?

I guess that could work. But it could completely destroy any work you've put into hearthfire prior to deactivating it. It's risky if you've done something, I guess it's ok if you havne't. Physically back up your saves before you do.

Yeah. Like I'm already Thane and can buy property, and have a housecarl. The thing that's bothering me is that the quest in misc quests is not completed.
