Cannot ride Sahrotaah dragon

I used the bend will shout on him and hes now mine but when i mount him to fly to the next area it shows my character get on him but he then flies off leaving me behind riding an invisible mount and unable to move. Anyone else got this problem?

I get this problem too, I thought it was related to mods but after removing all mods it still doesn't work.

Same here. Shame they release a DLC that is bugged out of it's mind. The float thing in Tel Mithryn wouldn't work, and now I can't mount on the dragon after using Bend Will.

I just encountered this bug and not it is preventing me from completing the main DLC quest. now i'm stuck in the other world with literaly nothing i can do about it.

I had this issue. Putting Dragonborn as the last item in the load order fixed it for me. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Can confirm that Krael's fix does not work. tired putting it last in load order, tried putting the unoffical patch last and DB seccond to last. neither is fixing this game breaking bug.

I got the same problem, it's very annoying to be stuck at most exciting part of game because of a bug. If someone figures how to fix it please post it here, thanks in advance!

Would like to add that though this is not a fix it is a workaround, after taming the dragon turn directly around, open the consol, type TCL and fly up to the fight. was the only was i was able to get there.

I put Dragonborn last in my load order and I was able to successfully ride the dragon.

Remove Realistc Ragdolls and Force, completely deactivate it, posted a solution topic on the forums.

What MobDylan said fixed the problem for me, however i still can't complete the quest because now I have another problem i take him down to %40-ish HP then he goes to the middle of room and becomes spectral and i can't kill him, i've watched vids on youtube he's supposed to take soul of his dragon and fill his hp but in my case he just kills the dragon with some shout but he doesn't absorb his soul, he just stands there as spectral. I've also tried one shotting him to see if i'm able to kill without having him go spectral, but even if i set game on easy to be able to one shot and do damage more than his total HP he just gets to 1HP and then goes spectral again, calls dragon, then just stares at me. If someone know how to get around this please share.

I made it all the way through the quest. Even placed the four book correctly and ended in part VI.
But no dragon showed up.

Ah well, never mind I thought. So I activated god mode and jumped into the black water (acid?).
I started swimming straight forward towards the higest building. Close by it I was suddenly teleported to the roof top of this building. And here Miraak was waiting for me.
I couldn't kill Miraak. Perhaps because I didn't ride a dragon and thereby initialised the scene properly.

But there was no Sahrotaah. I guess I have to start all over again with this quest. I must have missed something.

Rainbow try typing TCL and walk up to the dragons in the air and kill them there before u fight him and that includes the one ur supposed to ride and he wont be able to kill them for hp and u can just kill him off normally. I did it to get around a bug where when killed nothing happens and it solved it.

Mushashi did u get the dragon aspect power from the tiny shrine thing, u need that before the dragon will appear
