'Blindsighted' quest is bugged

Does anyone have trouble with the Blindsighted quest? Its the one where you have to go confront the former leader of the thieves guild and kill him after he loots the eyes from the statue. I killed him and the room filled with water. Because the room filled, I can no longer talk to the companions to turn the quest in, since they are swimming under water and wont let me talk to turn the quest in.

By the way, I dont use addons and hack the game. If there is a problem with this quest, its on Bethesda and they need to fix it.

I think you need to leave. You can find them later, I think back at the Guild. I hope it works out for you.

As the room fills with water, the dark boulders above the statues head wil break apart and show the exit way. Once you exit you will be able to meet up with and talk to Karliah and Bro whats his name

where do u meet up with them? They are swimming around underwater near the exit way u speak of and wont come up.

Just keep going. I'm pretty sure when you reach a certain point on the exit path, there is a load screen and then suddenly they are there with you.

Its been a while since I was at that part, so I am rusty on the details but this is from the wiki

"Take the Skeleton Key and the Eyes from Mercer's body, and wait for the water to rise. Once it gets high enough, a hole will appear in the roof above the statue's head. Run out through the short passage to escape. This takes you to Bronze Water Cave; if you had a follower, this is where they will be waiting for you. You can give the left eye to Delvin for gold as part of The Litany of Larceny.
Talk to Karliah to complete the quest, and she will give you her Nightingale bow."

Ive had this problem for a while, I have exited the cave and gone all the way to the thieves guild in Riften and back after I realized I didn't talk to Karliah. After Ive gotten back, I realized the reason I didnt talk to her is because I cant, she and the other guy are just swimming down below the surface and wont come out. I'll keep trying the exit loading idea.

Before leaving the sanctuary, be sure to talk to Karliah or both she and Brynjolf may become stuck underwater. At this point you will not be able to talk to her, essentially breaking the quest.
Use the console commands prid 58F1A and then moveto player. This way you can talk to her and continue the quest.
Try swimming and bumping into Karliah repeatedly to knock her into the correct path and out of the water, at which point she will continue normally. This may take a while, so it is a good idea to have a waterbreathing enchanted item with you to prevent drowning. Although if you are playing as an Argonian this is not needed.

alright I will try this some more. Originally she was closer to the exit and I did try to bump her out and it wasnt working. Now shes swimming deep, over by the sealed doorway you take to get into the room that is now closed. I appreciate your help!

Seems I must have missed my chance to talk to her and didnt even realize it. My mistake guys

idk about you but I got a bug that when I entered bronze water cave backwards it triggered the final parts of blindsighted where you fight mercer frey

though when I shot and killed him i got the quest rejoining the thieves guild so I decided to reload my save and this never happened again
