Random Always-Run Toggling issue solved!
I know I'm not the only one who had this problem. Sometimes the Always-Run (Caps-lock) feature would turn itself on for no reason when changing cells or at some untold point during dialogue or UI functions. Well anyway, I spent hours searching the web for a reason & found no good ones. I've since figured out what was causing it.

For some installations of Skyrim (mine included) there will be 2 separate copies of the "SkyrimPrefs.ini" file on your computer, both in different locations. One is located in "Documents/MyGames/Skyrim" and the other is in
"Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Skyrim".
On my system these two files are not identical. The one in the Steam folder seems to be the primary one that gets altered by certain mods & most of the in-game settings, where the one in "Documents/MyGames" appears to be an older version that only gets changed if you edit it directly.

Anyway, it seems that sometimes the game reverts to calling the older file when it should be calling the up-to-date Steam one instead. This is what causes the Always-Run toggle to inexplicably turn itself on. The two files are conflicting!

I'd like to bet there's a similar thing happening with the keyboard re-mapping bug that a lot of people are reporting and also with the "Wont stop raining" bug, though I've yet to put this theory to the test.

So check your .ini files and make sure they read identically. Copy & paste between the two if you've added any lines yourself but make sure that all the various 1/0 toggles match in both the files.

Sorry if this is a topic that's been covered elsewhere but I couldn't find it so thought I'd post fresh. Hopefully someone out there will find this useful. I've had no problems since I synced my files, so it definitely does work.

I'm pretty sure the copy in the steamapps subdirectory is supposed to contain the default settings. In any case, there is a short-term solution.

Am I making the old one identical to new one or the new one identical to the old one? And do I have to go through each line of code individually and edit it or can i delete the wrong file and copy and paste the correct one into the wrong file's folder? Sorry if my question is a bit confusing but an answer would be greatly appreciated.
