Can't Sleep or Wait!

So, I was doing the Quest Diplomatic Immunity? (The one where you wear the party clothes to the Thalmor Embassy) and this is what happened...
I realized that there was no door behind Malborn (just a clear white area with floating candles), and once I caused the distraction I was unable to walk through. So I reloaded multiple times, trying to have the door appear, eventually i used the "tcl" console command to walk to the next area (to get my equipment he snuck in for me) and the mission moved on as if I walked there regularly. To end this long story, I cannot wait of sleep anywhere, and I think it is because the game still believes that i am in the Embassy trying to cause a distraction, (even though I have been finished that quest for a while). Does anyone have any ideas or suggested actions I should take to help me sleep or wait?

alright, i figured it out! just find a word walla and it will delay for a little bit, then you will were the word and its like it resets

the word wall didnt work for me. I learned the word but i still cannot wait or sleep

You can't wait or sleep if there are enemies nearby.

Sorry, I know this post is a little... Old... But I'm having the same problem as Randy, and I need to know if the above solution actually works.
