Is Ulfric just power hungry?
Or does he want to free Skyrim, OR is that up to you to decide...

Yes. I went with Empire because they respect the other province customs. Ulfric seems to think that Skyrim is only for the Nords.

I think a bit of both.
But I think the dragonborn is better praised from the stormcloaks vs the imperials.

But Ulfric didn't decide to randomly kill people. Remember, your not on the list, but kill you anyways.

Well, he IS a little full of himself with all that "Torygg was a fool, I'm supposed to be the High King" stuff, but at least he fights for his home country.
Okay, on a little selfish way, but hey, who wouldn't be selfish if he/she had power?

And actually I don't recall him ever saying that Skyrim was for Nords only. They sort of imply that non Nords are ok as well if you apply to the stormcloaks as a non nord race.

I think I read in a book in Skyrim how some of the Stormcloaks use to be part of the Imperial Legion. I really don't remember the name of the book. It was a part series book. One of the books you see a lot of, just can't remember the name.

Ulfric is such an idiot. In fact, that's why windhelm is so run-down. I kill Ulfric, then turn him into a zombie and kill him again.

If you go to Solitude meh Hometown ;) You get more of what happened with Ulfric. Personally I think he was overly prideful and could've debated Skyrims indepedence then killing the High King for what looks to me as power. I mean it's always about power, money or love.

Agreed. Plus him killing the High King because they had different ideals was wrong plus murder. That's how a dictatorship is begun.

I think the whole rebellion thing is just an excuse for him to get to use his manly, manly voice.

Go to markath and open all doors at the keep and you will see his true meaning with this war!

Wasn't Ulfric gagged during the execusion. Maybe thats why he couldn't talk.
Sparhawk122 Jan 16, 2013 @ 10:37am
He wouldn't have been gagged when they first captured him. The gag would have been an afterthought meaning plenty of time for him to speak up in your character's defence.

I just remember at the beginning of the game when your riding in the wagon he has something in front of his mouth.

Plus I'm pretty sure he let the Imperials capture him. For someone with the Thuum (shout) and a loyal contingent of Stormcloak rebels he should not have been captured. I think he was in part responsible for that Dragon attack. He seemed to know what was going to transpire.
Hes a traitor working for the dominion thats what he is.
