Friendly Sabre Cat

well, here i was exploring in skyrim, and i encounter a sabre cat. I had been injured previously and had very little health and i was a little worried, but i walked up to it and it just laid there. I circled it and suddenly it sprung into action...to kill a goat...then another. Then the random fugitive that gives you a enchanted item arrived and started talking to me, 1 second into the conversation the sabre cat came up behind the fugitive and killed him! The Sabre cat completely ignored me. Then the hunter arrived and asked me for his weapon back, i give it too him (it was only a dagger) and right after that the sabre cat kills him too! At this point im laughing and wondering why this is going on. I was a redguard, so i coudnt control animals. Completely puzzled i ran away and comtinued exploring... this game never ceases to amaze me.

Interesting. Where was this? The game is just awesome and just when you think you've seen it all, Surprise!! No wonder after a year of release people are still playing and finding new things. Bethesda is a great Developer. My favorite hands down.

One of the mysteries of the game is you are never too sure what is going to happen next. Like the Jarl of Markath wanting the Leader at Druadach Redoubt taken care of. When I got there non of the Forsworn were willing to fight and they all kept saying The Reach will be ours again. Even Lydia said "I have never seen this before". I walked around the camp and took what I wanted but was not too sure if I should kill the Leader there or then. I decided not too. Later I was warned off by some Imperial guards and told to go away or they would attack me. Still wondering what to do!

What level were you? Most animals seem to have a point in which they will stop spawning hostile to you if you outlevel them too much, unless they are specific to a quest area.

i think i was 11...but can`t be sure... just noticed this comment while installing tundra defense :D

I doubt it had to do with level then; 11 is pretty low considering it was a sabre cat. Maybe it was just a hidden feature or random feature.

Interesting. Probably a glitch. I doubt the devs made friendly sabre cats. Also a point of interest what the heck is with the wolves in the game. Wolves only attack in packs, they don't blindly attack everyone on sight. So why is it a lone wolf will try and kill my character when my character is near six foot covered in heavy armour. Wolves aren't that inane and would not dare approach. How about some semi realistic animal behaviour. Though I suppose atleast there's more then a couple animals that are oblivious to the player instead of the Morrowind, absolutely everything is out for your blood theme. Enough said...

It would be great to find a mod with friendly animals... like some kind of 'paradise' where sabre cats are vegetarian. No laughing please-... there are some kids who would love such a 'players home'. Please give me a link if you have heart of this.

the other day i got sick of bears. they kept attacking me. they should be on the endangered species list now.

Same is happening to me, just after I reached level 100...
