For me the mod was "Wearwolves of Skyrim". I dissabled it and tried building the expantion to my house and it showed up. Only problem was, the orginal house stayed in Lakeview so only the expantion was being built at windstad.
Unfortiantly the only way I could find to fix this was to dissable the mod, load, save, and re-enable the mod, thus loosing everything connected to the mod but allowing me to build properly. Maybe someone will eventully come up with a mod that will let you rip down your house and start over just incase something like this happens.
No no no, sorry but you using mods and or 3rd party programs and or tools are what screwed this up. Stop trying to say there is a bug in the game because there isn't. What you read was written by people who also used mods and 3rd party tools/programs and then wrote up this entire section about blaming the game for being bugged.
If that was a bug EVERYONE would have it, because we all have the same game, same patches, same version, what affects one, affects all. Something like this doesn't pick and choose some players and not others.
Or the alternate solution which is better (IMHO) is to have this person learn how to correctly make a mod, and so the person doesn't get punished, people can still use it, and everyone wins.
BTW, Nice profile pic.
Then, there is a link to Birds and Flocks Hearthfire Edition. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25280
A. If you look at the time stamp of the fist post you'd notice I started this thread almost a year ago and it just happened to get bumped.
2. I was still relativly new to modding when I posted this and had just got Hearthfire so I wasn't sure if it was a problem with the game or what since I never encountered anything like it before.
D. I did state in a later post that I realized it was caused by an incompatable mod.

I hope this hasn't put you off modding too much. I'd recommend getting BOSS if you haven't already. It's a download that will look through your mods and tell you if their incompatable or out dated or other issues (it's user updated so it doesn't have every mod/mod issue but it helps with quite a few). Just do a google search for it and download the file. I've been using it ever since I had this issue and now have over 100 mods running on my game and have yet to run into any serious issues since.
Huh? What are you talking about? Is this "someone" a person/group/company? Just wondering if it's a big deal "distaste" or just a personal "distaste" since I don't really keep up with those kinda things/
