Stoopid Question but need help (Hjalti's Sword)

How do I get rid of Hjalti's Sword... it says it's a quest item so I can't drop it or toss it down a well. I'm not sure where I picked it up or what quest it relates too... just want it out of my inventory... tired of looking at it. Anyone??!?

you need to visit an inn in the reach..I forget the name...But if you visit Markarth, there is a farm to the right as you go up the hill talk the man tending his farm and he will ask you to deliver a letter to his son, who works at that inn. Rent a room and sleep until around 10pm to 1am and then a ghost will appear...Talk to him and give him the sword.

A bit of a problem there. I have several items that come from quests but can not get rid of them. Just a lot of extra weight. Usually with swords and such you get them because of a request and when you see the NPC that asked you they take it and give you a reward. But if you accidentally get them you might have to wait until that questline appears!

LOL @ Googling is so hard for some... (I'm old and a idiot... I tried to google something once.. ended up with Pickachoo doing a strip tease (had to ask my kiddo what it was) on my montior... swore off on using Google ever since.

The Inn is called OLD HROLDAN - it's in the REACH area (Markarth) - chances are you'll see a ghost when you go in there with the sword. He's the one that wants the sword.

Found it and the ghost, got rid of the sword. Thank you very much for the help! Had been running around with that sword for about 15 lvl's wondering what to do with it. (smile).
