Where did my steward go

So I made lidia my house steward and purchased a few things, she walked off and i can't find her, she isn't even in white run as far as i can tell

hmm... well you might normally catch them walking aimlessly outside of you home, or wait until night time to check (in game of course). You might also want to check to make sure you didn't tell them to wait anywhere. Sometimes they'll stay in the same spot for three in game days then return to your house. If none of that works then reload from a previous save.

If you don't ownbreezehome, then she's at Dragonreach in Whiterun. If she's not there at the Jarl's palace, then you've maybe got a bug.

A steward patrols the area around the house they are steward of, unless they are asleep in one of the beds.,You may be able to spot them if you go to an elevated part of the house or surrounding grounds.

Your steward could actually be clipped somewhere at your house (that happened to me), so you should save, go to a older save where u know where it is and click him with the console open, go back to the more recent save and write "moveto player"(without the brackets) in the console, so it will teleport to you.
If you don't have any saves u can find him, save and then teleport to him (player.moveto XXXXX)(where XXXXX is the REFID of the character,try looking at the skyrim wiki), with the console open click on the steward, go back to you last save and do the "moveto player" thing.
Knowing the RefID of the character doesn't work on "moveto player", only in "player.moveto", so you will have to click on the steward.

i know this discussion is a bit old, but this just happened to me with lydia, and used de "player.moveto xxxxxx" command, and found that she was inside breezehome, even though i didnt owned it, i just wanted to know how i get her out of there and put her back in my homw (windstand manor in this case).
