Glitch With "The Silver Hand" Companions Quest
I just got the Silver Hand quest for the compainions, so I fast forward a few hours so that it was night and I went to speak with Skior. I had done this wit another character and it worked fine, so I knew he said all the right diolgoe. But when I entered the underforge after speaking with him, he did not follow and nothing happened even though Aela was there. So i went out, and now i'm being automaticlly pulled into talking to him, and all that there is to say to him is "what does it mean to be a companion". Any ideas?
And if it will help, I've all the DLC's and several mods. I also just removed a mod called
A Perfect Circle" which affected the companions with new armor, skills, and werewolf trasnformation in battle. But even after I removed I still had this problem. Please help!

Reload from an older game save. I had that same problem and that seemed to work for me. Also be sure you're not running over 1k mods like I was doing LOL!

lol no i'm not running THAT many, only about 28 mods, and i did try reloading from and earlier game and it didn't help >.< I'll give it another try from and even earlier save, and with luck it'll work.

Yeah, I'm upcoming to 160 mods installed altogether, from the Workshop and the Nexus, I get some random dialogue glitches now and then xD

Yeah, that's all I can think of that would help you, hopefully the save before the most recent isn't TOO far back, I've had times where I go ~20 minutes without saving, and then die or something and realize I have to do it all over again :'(

Otherwise, I'm not sure if it's any sort of a solution, but you can tryreloading the save before you talk to Skjor and he tells you to meet him at the underforge, and then just do a simple side quest before talking to him, and then talk to him after you've done it.
Just Curios Jenny did you play some old save what you started before getting some of the dawnguard or heartfire dlc?I mean you played a while and then got the dlc and continued playing your old saves?

Well yes I had, but i had both for a while before starting my new character that i'm having this problem with.
Hm i asked cause i was thinking maybe your save game got corrupted.Cause something is preventing the AI from that point to execute the script movement.

hmm, well i'm starting to think that maybe it is corrupted. Because like I said i've recently had a mod installed that really affected the companions and there were A LOT of problems with it. So it may have something to with that. (although i'm still not quite sure)
If you got the time reinstal the game back to vanila and try the save again. If a mod caused you problems clean instaled game should fix the messed up scripts for movement of the npcs. Then you can be sure about the savegame if its corrupted or not.

I reinstalled steam entierly and then installed skyrim. And there is was no change. Although what i had done before i reinstalled was i removed another mod that added new armor, and when i entered with aela just standing there she had one of the shields equipped. So i removed that and a couple of times when i entered he came too, but he turned around and just left.
Well so sorry to hear that but sems try to turn few more mods off until you can be sure. From the sound of it you gona be starting over with a new game. :S

I'll save you the reading, I think I found your bug

"After talking with Skjor, if it's during day time, sometimes if you wait until night both Aela and Skjor will not talk to you at all, even after waiting more than 24 hours."

Now, it doesn't say how to fix this bug so,

I kind of have to agree, as there seems to be no other ways to fix your current bug. Sorry :\

T-T well okay, I thank you then for the help. I'll make a new character and with luck i won't have any more problems...

I think there's a console command that allows you to complete missions without having to complete them.. even though that is a little... cheap.

If you save just for saving's sake and then try that console command, it could fix your issue as the quest will be completed. If not... the half-dozen sites I've looked at haven't been any help at all.

Hopefully you weren't considerably far into the game, and then having to restart unwillingly.

i have a solution. Once you participate in the ritual u spawn outside as a werewolf, go back into the underforge (takes a couple seconds to open up again) after you are inside use the command player.removespell 92c48 and wait till beast form is over, you should then wake up in the forest with aela. You then have to use player.addspell 92c48 to get beast form again.
