Hearthfire: Workbench Bug
I searched through the threads and haven't really found this so posting to see if anyone else had this issue. BTW, I'm a bit of a purist - the only mod I have for "Skyrim" is SkyUI because honestly, I am a HUGE collector in the game and really needed a better inventory system.

For those of you wondering if you should purchase "Hearthfire," if you need as much storage as I do for all the hoarding of items you collect during the game, then I highly recommend it.

I own Winstad and Lakeview Manors. (I should note that my deed to Winstad "disappeared" from my inventory.) Lakeview I have built up with all its wings.

Anyway, I noticed a major issue while adding items to the rooms. When I approach workbenches in the different rooms to see what remains to be built, I will get a list of almost every item even though the room is almost completely furnished. Sometimes a save and reload adjusts this, but most of the time it doesn't. For example: I think my storage room is done (I bought furnishings through my housecarl) but the workbench lists everything under the sun.

Note: I didn't realize there was an issue with workbenhces at first and I'm pretty sure I wasted some of my materials building things that were already there.

Also, when I ask my housecarl to again purchase furnishings for a room, she gives me options for rooms that are completed and no options for rooms that aren't.

I have tried removing and readding workbenchs to no effect. The game just won't cooperate.

This is more of a heads up on bug issues and really, I'm curious to see if anyone else has noticed this. I can work around the issue thankfully until Bethesda comes up with a patch to remedy the problem.

yeah I had the same issue, usually corrected the inventory when exiting the workbench then entering again. i made the mistake of building things from the false inventory, unknowingly creating doubles that caused crashes when they accumulated. Never found a fix for the glitch, but the exit/enter worked around it for me, the second inventory choices were correct.
