Hired Thugs from... who's this Gilfre character?

I just got attacked by a group of thugs right after Break of Dawn. (They were hilariously inneffective with the sword you get being used) I looted them and found the contract... and it was from someone named Gilfre. I've been pickpocketing a lot so I looked her up on a wiki to try and find her to see if there was something special that happens if you talk to someone who put a hit on you, but i've never been to that area she's in. Infact, nothing on the wiki's map around it looks familiar. So... what does that mean? Is Gilfre just scripted to hate the dragonborn or is it a glitch?

As I play almost only thiefs XD, thugs are a normal, usually orgnar sends them first, or other merchant, even kids sometimes...

It's not as wierd as the inheritance letter, one of them came from a guy my follower accidentally killed.

Also if you kill someone in a town there is a chance that someone will hire the dark brotherhood after you.

I hate that even if I kill someone half a second after I pickpocket them, thugs still get hired..... by a dead guy that had no way of knowing who I was.

Because no one can steal anything from you.You only get the thug's appear if someone see's you 'borrowing' items.

i got attacked and followed by a member of the dark brother hood he followed me 2 days even when i used the elevator to Blackreach well he was always behind me i passed the dwarven centurion and shot him in the knee he worke up and attacked the DarkBrotherhood guy he went to heaven in 3 seconds and i was alive thats the story :) Cool story brooo ?:)

And what happens if you're like me on a couple characters that never steal anything?
I've had it happen twice to me. Level 1 characters that didn't even come across anything worth the trouble and I still get thugs after a bit. The worst part is they seem to come from people not even in the game.

It really is any NPC including Briarhearts.

Funny how you can steal their briars so they die but they may still send thugs after you. They should've made them ghost thugs in that case at least so it's not too far-fetched. :)
