best armour and one handed weapon?

For me I go with Dawnbreaker as one handed weapon and ebony armour set xD!!
But if you mean best by strength then dragon bone set is what you want

ebony - 96
best light armor is dragonscale

armor cap is @567 (80%), with high enough armor&smithing skill can easly overcap any armor. if got the skills doesnt matter what armor you wear

If you like Ebony that's fine..Why Ebony?..Have you seen that lustre in the metallic stuff?...It's absolutely divine!..I think that the weapons could have been a lot better, however. I hate the look of the Swords and the Bow..It looks like 2 ducks facing each other (that is going to ruin your game now hahaha)..

Following from the 'Black-Knight' esque design of the Helm..the weapons should have been straight and more Hardcore looking instead of flimsy curvy shapes..

The weapons just don't go with the Awesome Armour.

One should take the DragonBone Sword, straighten the lines, and make it Ebony...that would be my idea of Ebony stuff...Just edit the damage values in Creation Kit if want also...

ah that's useful info cheers! only just discovered that you can empty soul gems by dropping them, was always a pain capturing a lesser creature's soul in a grand soul gem... all sorts of useful tips..

Vanilla weapons, yea, Dragonbone weaps are the most powerful but agree that the one handed sword is pretty uninspiring looking. Next tier down is Daedric, which is powerful enough for most and much more hardcore looking.

I personally use a mod for Katana style swords. Only a slight amount more damage than dragonbone but looks much better. On Workshop: Higeyosi Katana Pack

anything with absorb fatigue on its win*win, and you can power attack 24*7

keenings decent, i used a artifact overhaul mod on my previous charecter that increases health/fatigue/magicka absorb to about 25 of each (OP)

maces are half decent as the armor penetration perk scales well, the bleed(axe) and crit(sword) perks only do a few points of damage even if you had 450dmg weapon

double enchanted fatigue/health absorb dual 1handed (dual flurry), the speed and reach of swords are nice though.
Also if you add a dagger as your offhand (keening) it increses dual power attacks attack speed

Akaviri Blades Armour (including Shield...c'mon...it's still classed as Armour) and their Dai Katana...Easy.....
(though I'm not mad for the Helmet though)
