so how many readable books are there?

i always was curious as to how many readable books there are in skyrim. i have the unread book glow mod on and currently i have read something like 350 ish books and near all skill books.

is there anyway to know the exact number without counting them on skyrim help sites?

to be safe id say more than 80 but no more than 250, not including speel books/tomes and notes, and journals.

as far as I'm concerned a book in this game is like the Book of deadra, Varieties of deadra, the argonian account ect. if you consider spell books and journals to be books as well I'd say over 400

Some books have multiple copies throughout the game. Do you count only the different stories/content or include the copies as well?

There is around 350 in the game including the DLC. I used Creation Kit to add all the books to one of my characters... so you are close to having read everything!

well wiki says there is like 820 between all readable things in skyrim but the count in your stats dont count notes and such. so not sure how many is the max in your stats

820 total entities - 90 skill books - 93 spell books is 637 books with content and according to the wiki there are "307 books scattered throughout Skyrim which serve no other purpose than lore."
