i was wondering would be able to gain the achievements if i have some workshop mods / nexus mods installed ?

Mods doesn't disable steam achievements, however, using the console does (can be accessed through pressing the "tilde" key in-game), You can easily reenable them by simply exit the game and relaunch it though.

oh god you had me worried there for a second amycus... ""using console does""
was like... oh crap what happens if a bug appears where ill need to use console commands to clear it...
long as "tilde" is the ONLY console command that disables/enables them <fingers crossed>

Like I said, even if you do need to use it sometime, just make sure to save right afterwards, and then exit the game completely. Then restart it, and reload it, and the steam achievements are enabled again.

If you play fallout:new vegas however, you can't use the console AT ALL if you want the achievements. Don't remember how it was for Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 still had the Xbox Live Achievements available after using the console. If you wanted, you could pretty much do the entire game in God Mode. But, what's the fun in that?

Yeah you can still do stuff like free camera, toggle menus... the benign stuff doesn't seem to matter. TGM and TIM or COC probably all cancel achievements I would guess though.

I know this is late as ♥♥♥♥, but you can use the console to get achievements
using the /giveperk command you can finish the vampire and werewolf achievements
the console does not stop anything at all, hell there are mods to get all the achievements with button presses:fhappy:

:P no worries Richard,
its always good to pass on information to people that may need it,
altho i dont like "cheating", and perfer to gain stuff myself,
i may use this should something do my nut is,,,

that being said i might just use it for the vamp perks, as im more of a werewolf fan :3
(but most likely only use it for that ^.^)
Moonmare Maniac Jul 20, 2014 @ 4:47am
actually wait it said it awarded those perks but they didnt
theres a mod you can find to get them if need be, I guess:ftired:
