Legendary Skills refuse to reset

My Legendary skills refuse to reset to 15. I hit the space bar like it says or I click the box and all it does is take me into the skill tree. Do I have to restart? I HATE restarting.

I have never had that problem are you using mods or skse. If you want to just reset all your skills just add the Gifts of Akatosh there is a stone outside Riverwood but it will reset all your skills to 17. It is an old overpowed cheat so I would not use any of the items in the chest except Possibly the ring of Akatosh and the spells. The Amulet will help you build your sneak and marksman skills up quickly also.

I used this before there was a legendary system to go over 81.

If you use SKSE which I am not comfortable doing yet for some reason you can download the Uncapper mod from Nexus. It allows you to improve all your skills to 1000 I beleive. I do not have it but have looked at it. I know the mod on steam the "Gifts Of Akatosh" works well so it is a safer bet. But if you are later in the game it can make it tough.

I am not using SKSE. 1.9 patch allows you to trade in a level 100 skill, mark it as legendary then "sell" it back, resetting it to 15 and you can redistribute your perks. The problem is, I cannot get mine to reset. I have the new patch, I have the button that says legendary, but I cannot reset the skill when I try. It sends me to the skill tree.

Once you are at the skill tree that's when you are supposed to hit the button to "sell" the points back to make it legendary.

Go into skills. Click on the skill you want to make Legendary. This should enlarge the skill. Hit space. You do not need to go into the notice at the top of the screen. That skill will then revert back to 15 and any perks released will appear at the top in the same space that the word Legendary was.

I don't understand, what's the benefit of taking your skills to legendary? do you get worse at those skills then?

Jogon, I did all that but I cannot reset the skill tree on the character. I've tried and now it is happening with my new pc. It is annoying.

First, turn off any mods you have, then one at a time turn them on and see which one is keeping you from reseting your skills. it may take some time, however, you may find the mod that is causing this.

NO! you get MORE PERK POINTS by releveling your skills, and also get more health, stamina, and magicka.

I have a level 200 character that has 1000 health, 400 stamina, and 900 magicka

I'm having the same problem. Have you figured it out? I have the legendary edition; I have Alteration skill 100; it says "Space" legendary, but when I hit space it just takes me into the skill tree as normal. I'm on a PC using steam.

Ah!! I had changed the controls so that I needed to push a different button instead of spacebar.

i had the same problem you did jayenglish the key that you use to jump will be the keay to change the skill

Make sure the space bar isn't mapped to anything. I had the same problem, and it turned out that the space bar was my "Quick Skills" button, so it took me out of the skill menu altogether.

Also, dustindaisy it is always space, not just the jump key (being a lefty, I had to change everything around, so all my controls are clustered around the arrow keys).
