The Dragon Lord
Hi All, has anyone faced this guy called the Dragon Lord, he seems to have immense health (i do no damage), somesort of permanent barrier, seemingly unlimited magic and two spectral 'dragon lord' dragons spiraling above him helping him out if he cant reach you.
I don't think he's a modded character, is he the final boss?

I found him on a bridge near Valtheim Tower. I had just fast-traveled so I practically spawned right on top of him, whereupon he proceeded to brutalize my level 167 battle-mage. He carries enchanted armor, a key, and can shout like a Death Lord. The key is for an unfinished quest.

Actually he should not be there at all, your magic mod unlocks him by accident.

He's the dark knight that is unlocked when you reach level 80. From what I've been able to gather he can spawn just about anywhere. He may be an additon from the Dragonborn DLC, yet I've also heard (read) where people had fought him before the DLC came out.

No, the Ebony Knight is a different character. He's almost as powerful as the Dragon Lord, but a couple of differences are:

- The Dragon Lord is instantly and always extremely hostile from the very second either he or his dragons detect you. He is very powerful due to his abilities and level.

- The Ebony Knight is not initially hostile, he talks to you and asks you to meet him for a battle in a place safe away from civilians. He is very powerful, but only because he is heavily protected with "cheat-scripts" in the Creation Kit.

Uncle Cookie, are you saying that he's kind of a hidden thing that shouldn't show up, because Bethesda never finished whatever quest he has to do with?

(Kind of like the closed-up Karazhan Crypts in WoW that Blizzard never went on to do anything with ..)

my friend I have the solution, the dragon lord is added by a mod on the steam workshop called "Midas magic evolved", the key that he carries is for the astral temple, an incomplete location also added by the mod. Plus you can tell he is not a legit Bethesda character due to strangeness of the enchantments on his stuff for example " allows wearer to run faster for 0 seconds", Plus the fact that the ring is worth over 13000000 gold. Hope this helps. P.s. if you do not have this mod then that is REALLY QUITE STRANGE!!!!!

Yes he should be inactive, but it's not due to Bethesda. As I mentioned in post number 4 it's a magic mod that releases him by accident, the quest that uses him is unfinished but the mistake was not corrected because people kept saying they like trying to fight him.

he is in vanilla skyrim without dlcs i thing he is a cut from the original game.

There is no record of anyone running into anyone called the "Dragon Lord" in an unmodded game. Not on any wiki.

He is a mod added character.
