Touching the Sky / Kindred Judgement is there a fix for that by now?
I'm stuck in between Touching the Sky and Kindred Judgement (vampire path). Serana just doesn't give me the quest Kindred Judgement. Tried out tons of console commands and reloading from previous spots, nothing works. I found alot of people having the same problem all over the internet. Isn't there a fix for this by now? Or does someone know some super secret console commandos for this? Setstage doesn't work, setobjectivecompleted neither, I just get the same stage with getstage back. It's always 0 for DLC1VQ08 and always 200 for DLC1VQ07.

Btw. I don't have any mods installed. Only Hearthfire, Dawnguard and the High Definition Texture Pack.

I have not got to that yet. But, is this the part where you have to fire an arrow into the sun or something?? Look it up on http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Touching_the_Sky. Just have a look at a few of the comments about this on the site.

Yo Jogon,

Thanks for your answer. These are the last two quests from the Dawnguard Addon. I've been on the wiki too and tried out everything there, but in the end nothing worked. Also tried out all the unofficial patches. Nothing. I'm currently redownloading and re-installing Skyrim, hope it'll work afterwards. Will let y'all know.

No luck, unfortunately. Wrote the Bethesda support. I hope they answer. :/

Console command "setstage dlc1vq08 0" fixed it for me.

Went through the quests and did not have any problem. Except could not activate the bow. But perhaps that was because I was not a vampire. Did not have any effect on the final outcome anyway.

I've tried everything as well, NOTHING IS WORKING AT ALL...No fixes, no removale of mods, nothing at all is fixing this!

I gave up and started a new cahracter. Hope it won't have the same problem. Bethesda support only told me that it was a problem with my save files and that's it. They weren't able to help.

FIX FOUND !!!

I saw on a forum post somewhere that if 1 of the 2 death hounds is dead / missing the quest will not start. So you have to manually place em back in using the console. I tried that but it did not work. But i found the reason why it did not work is cus you have to spawn them back in Castle Volkihar.

So here are the steps you need to take to start the quest:

1: Go to Castle Volkihar and check which of the 2 hounds is missing / dead
2: There are 2 hounds garmr and cusith (in my case garmr died)
3: Open console and type: help garmr / cusith (whichever is missing)
4: You will see there ID
5: Open console and put player.placeatme ID
6: Final step type SetStage DLC1VQ08 10

After the final step you Kindred Judgement will start and you will be able to finish the dawnguard quest line.

i fix it...

I don't know why this fixes the mission but I hope it helps

After must problems... follow the steps:

On the end of touching the skies, after talking with Gerbor he give you the bow NOT GET NOW!!, DO NOT ENTER IN THE PLACE WHERE IT IS!!!

open the console

movetoqt dlc1vq07

you will spawn on the bow, now get this

open the console

movetoqt dlc1vq08
(may not do nothing)

startquest dlc1vq08
(this too)

movetoqt dlc1vq08
(kkkk, this too)

setobjectivecompleted dlc1vq08 0 1
(I won't even repeat)

getstage dlc1vq08
(kkk)

sqv dlc1vq08
(kk)

setstage dlc1vq08 10
(now yes)

the message of mission should show up

now enjoy the death of daddy\
