Flashing Screen

I have a brand new alienware aurora with an Nvidia GeForce GT 545 Graphics Adapter. What is happening in the game is, the screen constantly flashes bright, then dulls as if the light in the sky has been suddenly dimmed. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, have you found a fix for it? Any help would be appreciated.

if u have the 3d option on in the nvida tab try to turn it off it might be trying to do a 3d display? just a guess

Unfortunately that didn't make any difference. I have found tho that the flashing goes away when played in full screen mode. Not what I prefer, but at least it's playable without the ensuing headache. Thank you for your response.
