Im not sure if this is a potential solution to the problem, however I've noticed that after repeatedly removing the duplicated items, leaving the mannequins bare, after a period of time some pieces of the armor will not duplicate, potentially even the entire initial set. E.X. I had Royal Vampire Armor on one of the mannequins in the armory, after about 18-20 duplicate removals the Vampire Gauntlets did not duplicate, and after another 8-10 removals, the boots and armor set eventially stopped respawning, enabling me to place the new armor set on it. I'm not sure if the glitch is supposed to eventually taper off with persistent removal, but it's a method worth exploring. Also to further back-up my claim, i am trying to use the same method to remove my Ancient Falmer Armor set from the mannequin, so far though only the boots have been removed.
Further note for those who wish to try out my possible bug-fix, if you do not already know, leave your home by either walking outside or going to the cellar, any action requiring the loading interface to be opened, then go back to the armory and remove the set and store or discard as you please. It is a very tedious process, but just wiegh its annoying tendency against how much you want to change your armor set. — Unsigned comment by 72.152.71.57 (talk) at 23:05 on 18 October 2012
