1. You were bitten (twice - 2 diseases) by a skeever/badger/elk.
2. Bossmer are 50% resistant to disease/poison - i.e. flip a coin, heads you're ill, tails you aren't
3. Cure disease potion (find, buy or self-brew) OR touch any shrine - Talos (e.g. by the annoying preacher in Whiterun)/Kynareth (temple in WR)/Arkay (House of dead in WR)/any other shrine to one of the 8/9 divines you come across

Or if you want immunity to all diseases become a werewolf, the trade off is though that you do not get the benefits of sleep. On a personal note I hardly ever sleep in game any way so it really doesn't matter much.

You can get diseases from pretty much any wildlife in Skyrim that is out for your blood.
Wolves, Bears, you name it. (Well, ok....those and Skeevers...I think that's it)
Hey, this is a cool thread, I was wondering some of this myself..

Though the best WTF I received from the NPC's was when I modded some black robes and deleted some of the clothing ID by mistake, my robes appeared 'invisible' to the NPC's hahaha!

I thought WTF when this guy said ''You'll freeze to death!''..Then It clicked and I had to fix it LOL.

Can I ask...Where/how can you learn what potions to make for all these ailments? Particularly the Vampire bite...I would REALLY like to make some potions for this.....

Cure all diseases potion or go and visit a shrine. Does not matter which one. Don't forget the vampire one needs to be fixed within three days.

Diseases are so annoying. Easy to cure as everyone says but annoying. I'm actually more afraid from wolves and skeevers, and even mudcrabs, that Draugr Wights or other undead who are tough to kill but clean. I go to pains to keep the fight ranged, but it's not always possible. Drat! That dirty skeever bit me! Check effects to see if I'm all right... And when I fight vampires, killing them is the least of my concerns. If they throw that red beam at you, chances are you'll catch a "VD" (vampire disease, not venereal!). That amulet of 100% resist disease is one of the best treasures in the game if you can find it, especially during the Dawnguard campaign.
Huehue..I have it (Circlet of 100% Disease resistance) in one of my workshop items..um, I think it's Jo'Rakha's Beta kit..but hey..other mods are available...

One other thing I would advise is to keep an eye out for jewelery with 'Resistance to Disease'. My current character is currently using one he found with 100% resistance. It has made a difference to say the least.

Protip: If you don't have a cure disease potion or a shrine nearby, look at the sky and shoot down hawks.

Eating hawk feathers will cure all diseases.
