Dawnguard DLC not working at all (SOLVED)

Hi,

I'm trying to play the dawnguard DLC and I've gone to the point on the map where I need to speak to someone about joining the dawnguard, yet nothing is there. I also can't approach the fort dawnguard place on the map either due to an invisible wall. Its like the game thinks I dont have the DLC installed, yet theres nothing left to download :S

Dragonborn works fine, as does heartfire, so what the hell is wrong with dawnguard?

I've tried disabling and re-enabling the DLC and nothing works.

Turns out that the map simply lies. I had to use clairvoyance to then be shown to a cave entrance, which transports me to the area where the castle is...

A bit of user error mixed with poor mapping :(

Have done, plus said how I solved it for anyone with the same issue.

I got a problem.. I cant use my dawnguard dlc after reinstalling my pc. When im on steam library and click property and then the DLC tab then it says Dawnguard but when im in-game I cant go to the castle, wont get a quest. I have even tried to use the console to add a Dawnguard item but it still wont work.:S Any ideas?

You can't go straight to the castle without getting the quest first. I went to dragonbridge to find some dawnguard patrolling troops to get the quest first, then went to the area where the castle is and used clairvoyance to find the path to the cave you need to enter to gain entry to the area where the castle actually is (as its not strictly in skyrim, even though it looks like it is)

I got it to work now, Had to uncheck dawnguard.esm then enable it again, Now I can get the quest propperly :p Thanks anyhow :D
