You could download a mod that removes the helmet requirment.

The Aetherium Crown is good for mages who do not wear light or heavy armor. But for new characters, I recommend getting the crown if your going to specialize in more then one skillset. For example, if your thinking of doing like a spellsword, the crown would be most helpful there.

As for high level characters like a level 50 orc, with a complete armor perk tree, don't use the crown.

I was already at a high level when I first chose the Aetherium Crown. The other weapons are cool but they didn't give me a bigger advantage than any other weapon. The quest is just fun to do. I'll say this about the crown, it looks really good when I'm not wearing a helmut.

It might be worth breaking your armor if it helps improve your magic defense in a fight where it matters.

Funny thing, I'm having this problem right now, and its making me think about resetting back to to a heavy armor based build that only uses 5 perk points for defense instead of a full perk tree, saving perk points for other fun stuff.

at higher level with improved armor (smithing) you shouldn't have any problem with armor rating (especially in vanilla) regardless of light/heavy armor.

Thus the choice is: Standing stone powers or dual enchant (if you pick up enchanting).

Standing stones comes with many advantages not gained otherwise. Steed stone for carry capacity and full movement speed with heavy armor for example.

Google "skyrim standing stones" and check the uespwiki list to see if there's any you want on the crown :)

Crown is much more usefull in my case. Or you can store it in your inventory with already activated The Steed Stone or The Atronach Stone, and then put in on only when you need to carry more weight or fight a mage.

I found it on google when I searched "Aetherium Crown light armor". I didn't look at the date, I just gave my opinion on the subject. What's your problem... :B1:

It is absolutely worth it. If you have both Warrior/Thief/Mage Stone and Lover Stone activated simultaneously, you will level up so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ faster.

I recommend getting Aetherial Crown ASAP.

There isn't a problem , I found the recent comments helpful. As long as the information is relevant, i.e. people are still playing the game , it isn't a necro.

Good post, still relevant. People who complain about necroing threads are dumb.
