Hircine Quest Glitch
I currently hold the Hircine Ring but cannot get to the "Beast". It has permanently located in mountains southwest of Falkreath (off the Skyrim navigable map according to its place marker). The place marker has never moved since that time (many hours of playing the game). Is there any way to end the quest so that I stop randomly changing into a werewolf?

the console command "SetStage <quest id> <stage value>" should help you.. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Ill_Met_By_Moonlight here is the quest ID and at the bottom are all the quest stages, so for example if you open the console and put in SetStage DA05 50, it should complete the objective you are stuck on and the quest should move on to the next stage

That worked perfectly! Thanks so much. It moved me to the next part of the quest after the beast is dead. I appreciate your help.

And now you screwed up your game for anything you had to do along the way up there. Because you bypassed things that quest has you run into and do along the way, that only happens during that section.

In this case, the quest is impossible to complete -- the target has been placed off the map of Skyrim and does not move back onto the map since when the quest first started many levels ago. I am turning into a werewolf even when I am riding my horse, which then requires me to reload the game to before I were'd out.

um...Am not sure if using the full swear word is a good idea, also his quest was bugged, the console helps to debug stuff so you can move forward. As for Xbox 360 and PS3 players...am sorry to say but you guys are out of luck when it comes to bugs. Which is why PC is so much better. XD
