tab key wont work

my tab key wont work in the game i try to pull up the player meun which the tab does but it wont work and the shout key z wont work to but i have them set to defult on my keyborad software which is a razer blackwidow. could a mod mess the keys up or what?

i was thinking that to but it works find when i did a tab key test in word and so does the z key not sure what it is

Check that the in game settings for keyboard assignment are set correctly.

i did that to and set it all to defult im going to restart the game on a clean save to see if that works plus i had mods armor and wepons on and that was all gone i just got a update from nexus for a lot of bug fixes

well i got it working now on a new clean save so it all works

remap the tab key's use to a different button then test it. if it works, it's your keyboard, if it still doesn't then there's a problem.

i restarted the game and its still works fine i think it was just a glitch or something

It happened to me also but I also have a blackwidow ultimate

i fixed this by going into settings and changing the key for the character menu and then changing it back to tab

I have this too, I have no idea what make my keyboard is (it came with my desktop) and my tab key works outside of skyrim fine, but not in it. :/

If you are using the Blackwidow from Razer, I suggest turning on the Gaming function (Fn+F10) then turning it off. As this fixed it for my game.

Figured it out. I'm a translator, and I sometimes switch English and Turkish keyboard settings. The setting was somehow was changed to English, and when I switched back to Turkish, the tab key started to work.

Guys, I can't believe this worked. I have a SPERG mod installed. I used the enchanting table to craft (not enchant) something I noticed my tab and q weren't working. Tried remapping and reloading, both didn't work.
Went back to the enchanting table and selected enchant this time, and everything is back to normal. Weird

Thank you very much. Saved my ass 6 years later. Felt like a baffoon as I could not figure out the reason in my case.
