trying to mine silver ore vein but is given option to sleep!

I went into the silvermine in markarth and when I try to mine a vein of ore and is given the option to sleep instead of mining the ore when I press the e button. is this a bug or is it intentionally programmed this way?

sounds like a bug try reloading your save or going to a previous save

Depends how you got there. Markarth's silver mine is also its prison. Unlike the other prisons, you serve your time in this one not by sleeping but by mining. If you were thrown in jail, it's normal for the game to ask you this. If you weren't, it's probably a bug.

You could always grab the ore by wielding your pickaxe and attacking the ore veins if it's the latter.

this happens when I press e ore just swing axe at the vein, this might be because I used the console to open a door into the mine!

Oh, then it's normal. The game doesn't check if you're a prisoner or not because you're not actually supposed to be there. :P

it's odd that when I try to mine silver ore I am asked how long I want to sleep for!

This is not really an issue but thought that people might find it amusing, normaly people want to sleep after mining!
