Share Your Custom Enchanted Items Names
As the topic says, share the names you've give some of the items you've enchanted, whether they be serious, amusing, non-sensical, in-jokes (explaining the in-joke would nice) or based on lore outside of Elder Scrolls. I'll start off with a few of mine...

I screwed up the first item I enchanted during my current game by forgetting to rename it, so I have a fire-enchanted Superior Silver Sword (for use against the undead) that I have to take care not to sell until I get a replacement.

(I and others have been looking for a mod that allows users to simply change the name of items you've enchanted. I do know about the "enchantment washing" mod, but I'm looking for something simpler.)

But I did get my second enchanted item properly renamed - a Superior Steel Sword that became the sadly unoriginal "Steel Sword of Chill". But the last couple of items I enchanted were winners, at least in my opinion.

I upgraded from a regular elven shield enchanted with fire protection - the in-game Elven Shield of Dwindling Flame (or was it Fire?) - to an Exquisite Elven Shield with the same enchantment that I renamed "Elven Shield of Asbestos". X^D

My next enchanted weapon was a Redguard Scimitar which I first upgraded to Exquisite. I then added a Damage Magicka enchantment, and named the new weapon "Magekiller Cuurrvd Swoorrd". LLOL! I love that one!

When I'm playing, whenever I get a change to enchant an item, I rarely have a name ready. So I need to do some online work, to look up odd or obsolete synonyms for some of the usual enchantment types - fire, cold, shock, magicka, sneak, etc. So I'll be ready for the next time.

So, what are some interesting and/or amusing names my fellow players have come up with for their enchanted items? (I hope this post leads to a long and interesting discussion.)

Anyhoo...

Either I forget to rename the item I am enchanting, or I give it a name that could be construed as possibly not being "family friendly".

I agree with you that getting an idea of what other players use for renaming enchanted weapons would be intriguing, enlightening and possibly helpful as suggestions. :)

I like Elven Shield of Asbestos a bunch :)

My last Khajiit had a pair of glass simitars called Masser and Secunda and a bow called S'rendarr's Mercy. Seemed like strokes of genius at the time...

Usually my weapons and armor are boringly named for the character, though:
Teryn's Blade of Flame, Khyarri's Claws etc. Zzzzzzzzzzz.

I came up with a very ironic name this one time....

During my experience of levelling my enchanting, I had the idea of experimenting a bit & trying something new. I thus forged a daedric warhammer (which had a high item value), & improved it to legendary. Since the absorb health enchantment really ups the value of a weapon, when I enchanted this warhammer, it was worth a lot of ingame gold. I had a heck of a time getting rid of it (no merchants being rich enough to buy it), & must have eventually put it away somewhere.

What was it called? I simply called it...... EXPENSIVE (in all caps). And that's the gist.

How do you rename enchanted items or potions for that matter?
Crexus Mar 21, 2013 @ 7:31pm
Not sure you can rename already enchanted items, but new ones can be named during enchantment.

I use names such as Crafter's Ring, Blacksmith's Neckbrace, or on weapons I go with names like Might or Icebane.

You can rename an item when enchanting it, after you select the item, the enchantment and the soul gem, the menu has a Rename option (defaults to F), press it and you get to type the new name. Press Enter and you can now finish crafting the item.

I had some Asbestos gear too, lol. My soultrap bow was Soulseeker. My Life drain weapons usually get Lifedrinker or Heartseeker. A set of dual blades, one enchanted with shock were Shock and Awe. Shock warhammer became Thunderstruck. Fortify carryweight enchantment names: Lightness of Being and Weight of the World. I have a lot of fun with enchantment names.

There is a mod on Steam (and also on Nexus) that allows you to "clean" an enchanted item of its enchantment and name, but I haven't seen a mod yet that simply allows you to rename an enchanted item. I'd think if someone made the aforementioned mod, that they or someone else could come up with a renamer mod. *fingerscrossed*

Some fun posts guys! Hope this thread can stay alive.

Dang! I'm never gonna look at M'aiq the same way again. Definitely won't look him in the eye! LOL!
