Another SKSE/Skyrim update problem....

Alright, I've been trying to learn from everyone else's posts and questions but it's just not working for me. I tried the beta version of SKSE and it tells me I need to update skyrim, being that I have Skyrim on steam, and set to automatically update, I'm not sure how to solve this problem.
So, I figured, I'll just go back to the other version of SKSE available, so I did, and I get the message that I am using a newer version of Skyrim than SKSE supports :/
Im not sure what to do at this point. The game runs if I launch it through steam just some of my mods are broken. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

well, maybe recreate your Skyrimprefs.ini located here:

C:\Users\Your super duper name\Documents\My Games\skyrim

copy the one already there to a safe place, and delete the one in that location. Relaunch steam, and then tell us what happens. *rubs hands together*

I'm going through a similar problem. Here's what i get when i try to activate minecraft."SKSE Elys Uncapper only supports Skyrim Version 1.4.21." also the game doesn't load at all, though i suspect i have too many mods loaded onto my skyrim. That probably is why my Skyrim keeps crashing. what the heck should i do to fix this SKSE issue?

You'll have more luck if you create a new thread of your own, and clearly explain the problem you're having, along with your load order (which probably isn't the issue with Elys Uncapper, but might be worth a look anyway if you're having other problems).

also i meant skyrim not minecraft in the sentence right before "skse elys uncapper only supports skyrim version 1.4.21." that's probably stating the obvious.
