Twilight Vampires
Would be amazing if someone would create a mod changing the vampire mythology that of Skyrim into that of The Twilight Saga.
You would be able to sprint 10x faster, jump 10x as high, never take any fall damage and knock people for 250 damage making them fly off the ground due to the heavy impact. Also you would never stagger and regenerate health much faster (out-of-combat at least).
Oh and you can only die from fire damage, any other damage will keep you at 1hp until hit by fire.
Downside is that you have to wear full armor or hooded robes or people will see you shine and attack you on sight during daylight.

Hahahahaha!I I really want to say "I have nothing against twilight but..." however that would be a boldfaced lie.

I'm playing a Better Vampires run right now and this thread just feels like an insult to vampires in general... well twilight is an insult to vampires.

The only critical change I feel is needed for vampires is: More feeding = Stronger, Less Feeding = Weaker and the Better Vampires Mod lets you do that:

along with a bunch of other things including sneak-bite-attacks and other amazing things... things like being able to turn into a cloud of mist and travel super fast.

If we wanted to go super-power with our vampires, Twilight isn't the way to go, gottta go dracula with it, where a jump would put you into air and you could fly, or turn into a bat to travel around without being noticed as a vampire.

But Twilight? Really? In Twilight vampires can die from more than fire, lets not forget decapitations from slicing OR blunt, and don't forget destorying the heart.

Lol I expected a comment or two like that, as it's pretty much a love it or hate it series of books and movies.

Personally I felt the Skyrim Vampire Lord was an insult to vampires as I was more powerful when cured.

Plus in Twilight vampires can die from more than fire, lets not forget decapitations from slicing OR blunt, and don't forget destorying the heart.
They can still be resurrected. That's why they burn the bodies after they decapitate them; to ensure they stay dead.

I still prefer Twilight, but heck a Dracula version might be interesting as well.

I grew up on Dracula, Casltevania, best of all Vampire Hunter D, which is as badass as vampires can get really,

Yeah, I NEVER transform into a vampire lord despite the fact I have the ablity to. The alternate form is POORLY designed. I'm FAR stronger in regular old vampire form using spells and bite-attacks.

The actual, temporary physical change, the monsterious vampire changing his body to increase his powers, that's okay, but they did it wrong for Dawnguard, just wrong.

They can still be resurrected. That's why they burn the bodies after they decapitate them; to ensure they stay dead.

Unless you have a follower with you who will perform said resurrection, it's safe to assume that once you were subdued they'd kill you for good. How about having you 'respawn' at a vampire den? Have an NPC who dragged your body back there after they found it or something?

Non-Twilight Vampires are no strangers to revival, however it usually takes the work of an ally.

Yeah, it smelled of troll but I figured I had an excuse to link better vampires and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, so why not?

I'm (un)dead serious. Although half the internet is probably laughing at a 28yo male loving the Twilight Saga.

I was never a real fan of Anime tbh.

That is a good point. I just feel it should be hard to kill a vampire, you know? As for being over powered, you are that by default on normal difficulty (unless you go destruction mage and aren't using any mods to amplify it).

They can still be resurrected.

Caused SotN flashbacks. Worst voice acting and translation possible for the English version.

They ended up redoing it in a newer version with a proper translation and voiceover but this is what I'll always remember.

Yet, I would love to see a Vampire: The masqurade style vampire. Different bloodlines, with different +skills. Some as shapeshifter, some stealthy, some buisnesslike etc. But then again I'm a PnP rp'er by heart :D

Yeah that would be good, or something more like Morrowind

I loved the PC game "Bloodlines" they made out of that. Though we already have all those skills etc. in the normal gameplay. I guess if you could start as a "Vampire race" with the perks and skills slightly different for that race. Implementing a VtM based system into Skyrim sounds like pretty much redesigning the game though.

Was thinking in the line of when choosing the become a vampire at Castle something something in Dawnguard, you could get a +10 boost to a skill or something. Depending on what you choose to be sired by. I know nothing bout coding and using the CK, so wouldnt know how hard it should be :D There is a mod where you can choose stone, skills etc when you create a char.... more a Oblivion style of startup, not with birthsign thou. Cant remember the name, but the book let you choose what skills to boost etc. Might be a way to do it?

Since there seem to be a lack of interest I started trying a bit on my own. Making the park negating fall damage and multiply the unarmed damage was a breeze. I'm having issues getting the sprint speed incresed as well as getting the effect to show up in the active effects list. There are more, but that's where I'm at atm. If anyone wanna take a look/help out witht he project feel free to add me.
I might release an alpha/beta version in the Steam Workshop when I get it to do at least the basic effects I want. Adding the Vampire appearance will probably be the hardest part. Preferably I'd like to make my own appearance where the only difference if brighter skin and red eyes.

Good job man. If I had any skills to help out with, I would. Sadly the best help I could be is to stay FAR away :D

Twilight is not -responsible- for making modern vampires look like needy, sentimental, effeminate wimps, but it's certainly only made the problem worse. If I'm going to play a vampire, I want them to be large and in charge, so thank you. No.
