This problem would not exist if the patch had been left with the name USKP, even if it now included the whole tamale. I mean, it would be the legendary version and include the DLC patches but still bear the name USKP. Skyrim launcher doesn't care if the mods are interiorly compatible, it only knows that mod a for example requires the presence of modb.esp. If modb.esp is present and active in the load order, Skyrim is fine with it and loads.
Eh, so I must have both uskp and usleep? Sounds way too much complicated, I rather wish usleep get update to make files that needs uskp see usleep as one.
No. You only need to have USKP in your load order, when you are running TES5Edit script. Otherwise TES5Edit will detect missing master and stop loading. Once the script is ran, you can remove USKP from your load order for good.
I have personally downloaded all old patches to my HD, in case I need to swap masters for new mods, or if I end up rebuilding my mod list for some reason. The whole process takes mere few minutes, nothing more.
Channing USLEEP would mean renaming it. What would then happen to mods that have already added USLEEP as their masters? Those would need to get updated again. If that is not going to happen - as we have not seen all USKP files to get updated to USLEEP - then we would need to run swap masters for those in exchange.
There really is nothing complicated using the script. Try it out once, as per instructions. You will notice it is easy and does not really require any extended knowledge of these tools. :)
But in order to have USKP in my load order, I need to download it. Too much fuss. Maybe it would be easier for everyone if there was just USKP alone. :P
I doubt that downloading the old file is that much of a fuss, really. Your call, of course.
Going with USKP/USLEEP alone would not save us. As I said above; they are both using different filenames and we would end up swapping the master data anyway, if something would get renamed again.
That would indeed be pointless fuss, I think.
Not to mention, I cannot download big files anymore on my old Hard Drive where is my Skyrim installed, and downloading cost money.
Also, I think if usleep somehow immetate the uskp name for those files that want it but hide that it's usleep so it wouldn't get confused somehow, would solve the issue.
Isn't Moskovskiy just southwest from Moscow? Each person that has lived or studied across the east border and near Moscow said that they have paid solid monthly fees.
But, if donwload costs are still a thing in your area, then I do see why extra donwloads would be a problem.
