Increase Sprinting Speed
Hey guys, as the title suggests I want some help figuring out how to modify sprinting speed using the console. Please do not suggest modav Speedmult as this pertains to non-sprinting walking and jogging, specifically.

I've scoured the forums, but to no avail. I havn't been able to identify the proper Actor Value for Sprint. I'm beginning to think that achieving my desired effect would require a script, which I'm really not wanting to do.

My reason for doing this deals mostly with gameplay immersion. I feel like it kind of sucks that I can't have a super athletic character that is an incredible short distance runner. The standard run is a jog, obviously. However, when the fight gets rough, or I need to get somewhere in a hurry, I want my light-armored, dual-wielding, Imperial scout to freaking bolt. Like 400 meters in 45 seconds.

Apprectiate any help you guys might have.

you have a shout called whirlwind sprint to help you escape

This doesn't help me at all. In fact you didn't even attempt to answer the actual question.

I'm fully aware I have access to this shout. Are you aware you do not have this for some time after you start the game fresh? Escpecially considering I'm playing this character on Reqiuem, I need to increase sprint speed.

And again, it would be nice for game immersion as well.

You talk about immerion, yet you are willing to use console commands-in my books thats breaking immersion. Using Whirlwind shout is immersion. what if there was no console command just like the PS3 or Xbox.

People who are able to run super fast at short distances still need to rest. It's not that realistic to run really fast continuously. I don't care how people play the game. I use mods that buff certain aspects of my character. Just responding to the immersion comment.

I can't grasp how no one realizes the in-game sprint, as is, is far from real sprinting. Has anyone ever seen even a highschool track meet for Christ's sake? I'd like my lithe, female scout to be able to sprint realistically. You know, like 1600 meters in 4:50? Or 800 meters in 3 minutes?

As far as immersion goes, even using the console to change the game to be more realistic doesn't destroy immersion. Whirlwind Sprint is a gimmick. It's used primarily for VERY quick escapes and getting past scripted obstacles.

The reason I havn't really been responding to this thread is, I've yet to see anyone answer my question. One person even provided a response which I specifically stated not to mention.

I remember on my first playthrough I didn't learn about sprinting until about 10+ hours in game.

There's a mod that gives you perks to move faster:

I found a mod that completely rebalances all the skill trees and adds new perks including some that improve sprinting. It's called SPERG: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24445/?
One skill makes it so sprinting uses up stamina. Another helps you regenerate stamina AND gives you a chance to avoid all damage from attacks if you're sprinting. I was also looking at the in game menu and it seems there's an option to gain some sort of exp (I forget the details) by sprinting. Yeah, I know it uses SKSE which the OP doesn't want to use for some reason, but it's really great.

The answer is /player.modav speedmult # (100 is your base sprint speed. so if you modav 100, then you will have 200% since modav adds to the base value. To undo this, use -100 (a negative value) to remove the 100 you added initially. Do this till you find a speed you like. 130-150 or so would be along the lines of your avg highschool track star.)

This answer is not for the OP as it's been almost 2 years and I'm sure he's found his answer by now, but for anyone else coming here in search of the same answer. If you're going to reply to something, reply with his answer (or a reference to his answer) or not at all. No one likes reading through a bunch of dirtbag responses to get to the answer they seek.

Wow, I know that this is super old, but I have to state how pathetic it is that not a single person answered the OP's question. It made me angry just reading it.

Yes, I've been look for this also. I don't want base walking or running speed to be so high I can't move with precision, but it would be nice to adjust the sprinting speed with messing with the others. Fallout 3 appears to have this with a similar style of command prompt, so I figured Skyrim also does.
