Best Alternative to Nexus Mod Manager?
Last time I played through Skyrim I used the Nexus Mod Manager to install my mods but now it seems to be completely unusable (it crashes constantly and corrupts my fomod files). What is everyone else using to manage their mods?

Jai - go to the nexus site and download the new version (0.46.0). They have changed the way the manager connects. You should be able to connect instantly after that with no issues.

What about those of us who are banned from the Nexus, and thus can't use most of these links?

It's so good that it's currently under review at the Nexus - I wonder why.

Is it possible to turn off the auto update for MO? I like that I could get rid of both OBMM and FOMM and just have one utility that does all I need. Why ask here? I don't have to sift through all the pages on Nexus - Okay, hands up, it's Sunday and I'm being lazy.

Damn I don't know what I would do if I couldn't get mods from the nexus, that would suck. Have you tried using a proxy to make a new account?

I don't think that information is relevent. Especialy since the Nexus staff have a reputation for following users onto other web sites and using things said there against them on the Nexus...

If you have static IP, can't you have your ISP change the IP they assign to you?

The Nexus has standards, you just need to abide them. It's not a lot to ask in return for the wealth of games mods and ideas you get access to, entirely for free. Having said that, sometimes a particular person or two may be a tad over vigilant, but not without prior warning.
Thousands of people use the Nexus without issue. It's a wonderful site in my book.
