What is up with this quest? I am trying to do it on a lvl 8, is this too low of a level? How are we supposed to kill the guards etc with no weapons or armor? I can't attack anyone and i just die. The only spell i have is a shout. Please help! I have used several guides and they do not help at all.

I found that particular quest REALLY difficult too, especially without the weapons. Try to grab any weapons from the first guards if you manage to kill them. I can't remember how I eventually made it, I died about 5 times too. I tried Unrelenting Force and a couple of other powers too but still difficult. Have you tried any magic powers? And sneak or sprint wherever possible. It doesn't help that it's not clear where you're supposed to be heading.

Did you gave any weapons, armor and potions (and lockpicks) to the servant elf that helps you? He warns you about the limits, but IIRC you can give him a lot of stuff. Sneaking is your friend. Also, that race are you playing? There is a trick, that make infiltration easy, but it depends on your race.

I found this really hard on lvl 53 without weapons and armor and barely got though with me being a werewolf.

As InsertNameHere mentions you give everything you will need to the elf (plus lots of health potions if you are Lvl 8 ). You can only wear the fancy clothes INTO the Embassy but you get everything you gave to the elf back when you get inside.

You are on your own so make sure you have covered all the bases. It's not important that you do this quest now, you can always come back later when you are a higher level.

You don't need to sneak around. As long as you know where to go, you can just run to the next point and enter it. 9/10, none of them will follow you inside. As for the ones already in there, then you're on your own.

The easiest way to do this:

- Install Unofficial Skyrim Patch. It is required for this to work.

- Either ask Malborn to smuggle one of your weapons in, or try to locate one from Embassy. Last option might be hard, because Thalmor often use bound weapons. You might consider using Bound Sword spell, if you have enough mana.

- Grab those hooded Thalmor robes that guards inside the embassy so vocally mention, when Malborn sends you in. Avoid making a direct eye contact and you should be fine, all the way to torture chamber.

Altmer characters can use any elven armor or Thalmor robes without hood, but others need the hooded version from the embassy. This feature was bugged, until USKP version 1.3.3.

- Torture chamber is the only place where you actually need a weapon, unless you are skilled in magic.

I forgot to mention. The guy standing on the door might be a problem. My thief found bow and arrows from the embassy and used them to distract him. Then I just marched in, without killing anyone.

I am not sure if bow is always there, or if that was a part of random loot. Either use your weapon to kill one of archers or ask Malborn to smuggle some ranged weapon in.

If you play with SkyRe, or some other overhaul allowing you to cast silent spells, then you can calm him or toss a spell that causes ruckus in the other side of the yard.

I found this easy but annoying since that blades chick gets on my nerves.. stole the thing you went in for and has an attitude about everything.. didn't like she took my gear.. then dragon attack in party clothes<or vampires one time>... but ya you can give the elf dude over 200 pounds of stuff in unmodded base game.. only thing freaked me out was Maven telling me to leave her alone or she would blow my cover.

duh, u give ur stuff to a sleezy wood elf and he gets it to ya once youre alone in the kitchen, u just have to bribe a drunk to caus a scene in the hall so u can escape.

matters not though, my Rulfgard fisted his way through the whole bleedin' embassy. thats what real men do

Also don't forget even if you don't have weapons you still have your shouts and spells.

Never understood this impulse to insult people for having trouble with a game. Or the entire "casual" label people throw around.
