Delphine in a nutshell: "We serve you Dragonborn, but if you don't do what we say we're gonna abandon and shun you." Stupid fool needs to learn her place and understand chain of command, and that goes for Esburn too. Modded my game so I could kill the both of them for their defiance, shouted them off a cliff.
Nazeem goes without saying. I happily condemned that smug ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to the Soul Cairn. The character I play as is a bit of a psycho.
The moment when I first decided I wanted to kill Delphine was when I'd just gone to all this trouble to get the artifact for the greybeards, and she left a note saying my princess was in another castle (or words to that effect.)
But I'm a merciful guy, so I went to her and told her to explain herself, at which point she got all snippy with me, and told me she could kill me if she wanted to. That's when I tried to kill her and found I couldn't.
I eventually picked up the game again and completed her quests, and aside from letting you watch Alduin resurrect a dragon and telling you some legends about the dragonborn, all she does is send out on a wild goose chase to the Thalmor embassy and threaten to kill one of your friends.
Bethesda... You need to get over these "Invulnerable Plot Railroad" and "Essential Character" fixations you've got.
You know what? I'm retconning this in my mind. When she told me she could kill me, I took her apart until she either died or begged for mercy, and either way, I got the horn back, and she was sorry for her insolence. I may or may not agree to help her with her pointless goose chase quest, but if I do, it won't be on her terms.
i also selectively use the deapitation spell and certain npc's talk no more. Never liked MAUL
and if you follow him out back of the docks with "fists of steel perk" you can beat him to death and the guards don't even care.Brynjolf though is the immortal i want dead the most.
